Slow and steady is not often an inspiring concept to grasp ... for any goal, but especially so, for weight loss - people, no matter what, want fast and now ...
Fast and now? Definitely NOT a good aspiration for a long term goal ...
Slow and steady, is necessary.
What is important is that you are moving, progressively - forward ...
Sometimes - 'apparent' slowness can make you feel very frustrated ... understandable. We live in a fast paced society and not having *instant* can create impatience and discouragement, and you eventually simply, give up....
Try not to allow that to occur for you - remember, your transformation is NOT reflected by numbers on a scale. Besides a physical metamorphosis, there are MANY positive changes occurring when you start eating more healthily and increasing your exercise routine, that aren't seen. Hidden benefits. Your internal organs are also thanking you immensely for every positive adjustment and healthy choice you are making.
So pay attention more to the direction you are heading and less to the speed ... be patient, focus on a little bit at a time, be proud of those 'seemingly' small or slow results, they arent really as slow or small as you think, and focus on all the other positives happening to your body that don't appear on 'the scale' - soon enough, you'll be further than you ever thought ...
Remember. Weight loss, slow and steady weight loss - is for life!
