ditch the non stick

Non-stick cookware has been around long enough now for studies to explore the negative effects on our health when we cook with it ... people choose it feeling its a healthier option as there is no need to use additional fats/oils, perhaps also, it's ease of cleaning ... (i dispute that! things STILL need scrubbin' haha!)

but, healthwise, it isnt a great choice ...

we DO need *healthy* fats in our diets so the addition of a healthy oil to our cooking isn't necessarily bad...
become a fan of cast iron for your cooking ... (other options, ceramic or glass) - read the article ...

When you use a non-stick pan to fry an egg or sauté some veggies, you probably won't experience any immediate symptoms that would make you think the activity is harmful to your health … but it's well documented that when these pans are heated the non-stick coating begins breaking down, releasing toxins into the air surrounding you.
And new research has revealed that these toxins are accumulating in human blood at an alarming rate, and the concern is that they are leading to chronic disease over time.
