12 weeks of dynamic changes

With great success in the Whitsundays, Lighten the Load now comes to Brisbane. The 12 week program consists of two group sessions each week and one personal training session. Plus ‘homework’ to do each day. Ongoing regular support each week both from myself and others in the group via our sessions and interchange of email, texts etc.

Participants MUST have a minimum of 20kilos to lose. The reason behind this is the support of others on a similar goal/journey – and specially for those who could possibly feel intimidated or uncomfortable to enter a gym environment.
If you head to the facebook page, (ltl photos) or website or blog and take a look at previous groups I know they will vouch that having others on a like minded goal has been of great value to them, and they discover the gym is not intimidating and it becomes like a second home. Plus the laughter, camaraderie and chat along the way has been invaluable to them amongst such a fantastic group/setting.

Session 01: (time TBA)  - a 30/45 minute training session - circuit style combining strength and cardio based activities. With a new topic chat each week and discussion, planning for the week ahead, food, exercise, etc, and chatting about the week ahead - includes time for questions and answers. A weigh and measure - weighing every week, measure every four weeks. The initial session will also include body fat percentage, total body water percentage, visceral fat rating, visceral fat indicator, bone mineral mass, basal metabolic rate, metabolic age and muscle mass and this will be completed again at the end.

Session 02: (time TBA) - A mid week catchup - questions, answers, thoughts, good and bad moments shared etc followed by a 30/45 minute training session - cardiobox and cardio based activities.

Weekly PT session: One on one personal training times are made individually at times most suitable to each participant. All are encouraged to warm up prior to the start of their session for 5-10 minutes. Session is 30 minutes long. Stretch - 5 minutes. Emphasis will be on strength training.

Everyone participating will also be supplied with ‘homework’ - challenges to incorporate movement into every day. All handouts etc used each week are provided to take home and refer back to as required.

We all know stepping outside the comfort zone of our everyday is what creates positive change – so for those who are really ready to commit to making a difference for themselves in a supportive environment and amongst others on a similar journey/goal – it’s gonna be fabulous!
